Summer often feels forever away and then gone in the blink of an eye. I can often feel overwhelmed by my to-do list and incredibly overstimulated by ALL the things and wish a moment to speed along. Note I simultaneously am grieving the passing of that exact same moment. Motherhood. It’s a whirl of emotions and is often stretching me in ways that I never imagined. Taking time to sit down and note little moments throughout the week that I loved helps shift the narrative and cultivates a sense of gratitude and longing for future simple moments that otherwise I may miss entirely. I’ll be honest - my mom guilt was HIGH this week, but upon reflection I see that our week was just as it should be: slow, yet full of laughs, silly little “I love you’s.”
